Quality-tested materials for stronger, greener concrete

Flyash and Pondash

Fly ash produced during the burning of powdered coal in thermal power plants is a hazardous waste. However, its physical and chemical properties make it an ideal raw material for producing high quality and cost-effective bricks, interlocking pavers, kerbstones and mosaic tiles. Fly ash can be used in portland cement concrete to enhance the performance of the concrete. The un-lifted dry ash mixed with water and then disposed into the ash dyke. The accumulated ash in the ash dyke is called pond ash. Pondash can be used for manufacturing bricks, blocks, paver blocks, road construction, embankment and flyovers. Acidic land (soil) can be improved by using pond ash. It can be used as a geotechnical application as a substitute of earth dust.

GGBS — Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag

GGBS is a hydraulic binder, which has been known and used for 150 years. GGBS is stable, uniform, non-metallic, non-flammable, non-hazardous material and ensures a greener future by reducing carbon in the atmosphere. GGBS conforms to IS 16714-2018, EN 15167-1 and ASTM C989-1999. GGBS is off-white in color, with specific gravity of 2.85–2.95 and bulk density of 1000–1300 kg/m3. It has glass content of 90-95% and blaine fineness of 320–400 m2/kg. Applications of GGBS encompass all types of buildings, marine structures, high rise structures, bridges, and mass concrete projects (dams).

Micro Silica

Micro Silica is a super pozzolan — a finely powdered material which can be added to cementitious matter to increase durability and provide a positive set. It has reactive silica content of over 90%. It complies with ASTM C1240. Microsilica, also known as silica fume, is composed of amorphous silica produced by electric arc furnaces as a by-product of the production of elemental silicon or ferro silicon alloys.
